I have an agent!!! An actual literary agent!!!

This morning, I signed a contract for representation with Denise Barone of Barone Literary.

Never let anyone tell you to give up. If you do, you’ll never know what the next day will bring.

Being a writer isn’t easy. It’s long hours of sitting at a computer or with paper and pen, spinning tales from your mind. It’s agonizing over a single word, or cutting out a scene you love but makes no sense.

It’s days/weeks/months/years of frustration when you’re out there, querying agents and publishers. And getting told no over and over again.

But all it takes is that one person to believe in you and how you write to make the difference. I’ve spent more time over the last week crying happy tears than you can imagine. Because I can finally say the words, “I have an agent.”
